i have had a yellow pygmy angel for about a week now and has been doing fine until today. looks like some of his fins has either rooted away or have been attacked. i have one stripped damsel in the tank with another cream angel. the two angles seem to get along just fine. could the damsels be attacking the angel periodically, or does anyone have any pictures of any diease that this might be related to. thanks

If you just noticed it today, it's most likely aggression. Allowed to continue, the angel will become stressed and may be prone to other problems, if not killed. You can sit back and watch the tank for a while to see if the damsel is the culprit, and if so, remove one or the other.

Two angels in a tank can be a problem, they tend not to tolerate other angels. Watch your two angels to see if they're chasing each other also watch the damsel they can be little monsters. but you biggest problem could be the size of your tank it is way to small for two angels IMO and im pretty sure everyone will agree with me
another thing it could be is tail rot which could be caused by aggression or by not QT your yellow angel (lemon peel)

i need to update my information these angels are in a 125 tank now. and your right i should have qt'd him for awhile. i watched the angels together, actually the other angel is about dead now, but his fins don't look as bad, i'm at a loss. this 125 has cycled and all the numbers are good.

if u want to keep more than one dwarf i heard an idea from this guy at my LFS he said to add three at a time and most of the time they will be fine with very little aggression towards each other, i believe him because on countless occasions he is always selling a group of dwarfs as a complete set no splitting them up
i also have a article on how to mix dwarfs if your intrested let me know and i'll email it to u
sorry about your fish:happyfish
