My sand-sifter star is lossing the ends of his legs!!! It has happened on one of its legs and it looks like its happening to another. I have had it for 3 months and the tank has been up for 4 months. This is the first time this has happened. I need some advice fast because this is my favorite thing and i don't want it to die. :(

They will lose their legs due to bad water conditions or stress. A lot of times their legs will gorw back, my brittle star did the same thing. But sometimes they do not recover, I'm sure someone else will advise you on how to treat it.

I don't understand how i could have bad water conditions when all my levels are fine. Even my coral mushrooms are ok! I don't understand how my water conditions could be bad and yet all the tests I did came out fine, I even double checked by letting the fish store also test the water.
I was thinking it could possible be from something living in the crushed coral thats eating him...

well my starfish died this morning..he had 2 legs left but I flushed him down the toilet since he was polluting my tank...
Little hint...when your starfish starts to lose its legs its going to die! No medicine or water changes can help him. They just die sometimes for no reason at all!!!
