I've had my tank for about 6 months now. A couple months into the fish scene and I got ich. Being fish only and not having any LR, I was told to put coppper into the water. (No I never got any warning from LFS that I would NEVER be able to have any type of corals or inverts) So its been a few months now and i've done obviously a lot of waterchanges since then and ran carbon. Heres the question.
The carbon TEST is coming out 0. I have 1 anonome (spelling) and my friend just put a frogspawn frag in my tank. The anomome so far is FLURISHING with capital letters it seems. But the frogspawn is not coming out at all its been 2 days now since I put it in. A new LFS owner now tells me when I asked him about it said i had to replace 100% water sand and any LR that was in the tank. Also that it goes into the silicon and I might have to get a new tank. All tank levels are fine salt trade trite ect. 55g with wet/dry that I turned into a refugeium. About 50lbs of live rock that wasn't in the tank when that happened. Am I going to have to take all my sand and water out? Since i've had this tank it has been nothing but problems. Huge nitrates at the begining for months, got ich, now I have everything under control it seems and I was just getting really excited because I was about to start stocking it after like 4 months of problems. (not to mention ditching all the agressive stuff in the tank so it wouldn't effect the coral) Someone please help me I want to do this hobby and like it!
