Anybody used it? I found a website that said it was safe but I wanted to know if anyone else has tride it and what theoutcome was. Also, approx. How much sand do you think I should use for a 125?

Southdown tropical play sand is highly recomended over any other type of sand. If you have access to it, use it. If you're like me and don't have access to it, you have to come up with alternatives. Here in the pacific northwest, we have silica sand. The only problem I've come across using this is it's sometimes hard to maintain the proper ph. Other than that, it works fine for me. The problem I have is people who have access to the southdown sand and don't use it. Good luck. COOP.

I actually just got finished switching from CC to sand yesterday. I live in Arizona and had to pick up 100# of white silica sand at Home Depot. No SouthDown or other aragonite based sands out here. So far so good ..

I don't have a great picture of what it really looks like. My camera just won't do it justice. I took this tonight. I may fiddle with my shutter speed to see if I can get a little better quality. It looks a little bluer and brighter in person. My camera might just be out dated and unable to do any better.
