I have a tube of silicone caulking and I wondered if this was safe to seal something with?
I just bought a new nano with an auto top off that has the two little bottles that you fill with fresh water and place upside down in a reservoir and let "drip" in to replace evaporated water. Only trouble is that one of the bottles has a very small hole about the size of a pea in the bottom (or top when it is upside down). I need to seal it and I wanted to know if this type was okay to use, and since it is such a small amount... I don't want it to leach things into my water.
The brand it GE. It's "silicon ll XST Paintable formula" says "all weather, and water tight".
Should I cure it in some water baths and such before placing, if indeed I can use it. If so, How do I go about this???
Thanks folks!
