Silicone ??

not my nite, just got my oil tank thawed out and i siliconed in 3 of the 5 baffles and realized the tube said not for continious under water use

my ? is and i know i read it on here is what is the best stuff to use for putting glass to glass . thank you in advance ...walt

What kind of silicone did you use?
Silicone I is the stuff that is safe to use under water. Just make sure whatever you use is 100% silicone.

That's right "clear 100% silicone"

isn't type II the bad type? yet this weekend i still saw it said 100% silicone

Type II is the bad type. It has mildew resistant chemicals in it.

so just grabbing a 100% silicone is not all you need...need type I as well

get the Window & Door, it has blue on it: GE Silicone Type I. i used it to glue my baffles in the sump 2 days ago and just ran it last night, everything is doing well.
don't use Type II
