Silversides?

Can anybody tell me what "silversides" are? I read that this is the preferred diet of the snowflake eel. :notsure:

Silversides are small fish. You can buy them frozen, and some LFS' also them them live. People use them as a meaty part of a diet for fish, eels, and anemone.

Wow, I have never seen them sold live. The only place I have seen them fed live to a fish was at Atlantis in the Bahamas where they actually bred them for their lionfish.

There's one particular pet store here who sells live silversides. I wasn't sure if it was common or not b/c we only have a few LFS'.

Where is "Here" that live silversides are sold?

my snowflake eel used to eat shrimp and one day he wouldnt eat so i got him a silverside out of the freezer he grabbed it and shook it like a dog was so funny

"Here", as stated on my post, is a LFS in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
