Singles or couples in a new tank?

Howdy,
My 6 gallon FOWLR is cycling and I can't wait to get some fish. When its ready, I would like to start with a clown or two. Should I start with a pair or one at a time? What clown or clowns are recommended? Any tips or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

In a 6 gallon, IMO the only fish that could live happily in it would be a clown goby, or some type of small goby. 2 fish would be wayy to much bioload.
