Six line attacking mandarin

My six line wrasse has suddenly (within the last week) started chasing my mandarin around biting at him. The six line is pretty much all over the tank all the time so I don't think he has a "territory" for the mandarin to invade. I've heard stories of six lines being aggressive but mine has never bothered anything until now. Could he just be getting meaner as he gets older? I've had the mandarin for 9 months and the six line for about 6.

This is very possible..and I'm very sorry to hear it. You really need to get rid of one (I'd ditch the sixline, but good luck catching him
) Mandarins can be touchy when it comes to getting picked on...

I know...I'd probably have to tear my entire tank down to get the six line

Yeah, good luck catching those rascals!
Fast little fish, and they are pretty smart. I tried catching one in my 180 and all I did was succeed in getting soaked and stressing everyone else out. So I tried a trap....Hah!
He finally calmed down for no reason.

I hope yours does the same, its ashame to get rid of him, they are among my favorite fish.

I have another tank I could move the six line to, if I can catch him. I can't move the mandarin to the 55 b/c it's isn't as established and doesn't have as much LR.
I do love the six line though, he is beautiful and has tons of personality.
