Six-Line Wrasse Wrasse wont eat!

How long does it take a fish to usually decide he is hungry? I have a new six-line wrasse in my q tank and he has no interest in flake or frozen brine mix. I bought him yesterday afternoon. Do they prefer mostly live food?? The LFS recommended the brine mix. I guess he is still very stressed, I am just afraid he's not going to make it if he doesnt eat soon.

I have no experience with them, but I have heard/read that they prefer to eat pods. Do you have any pods in your q tank? could he be eating those?

No i dont its just got a piece of PVC to hide in. I am using it as a hospital as well so the water has a little copper in it. the LR wont be able to sustain any pods. I dont want to put him in the show tank for a couple of weeks to make sure he's safe. plus i need to get two damsels out or they will probably kill him.

It's normal for fish who has just been introduced to a new inviornment to hide and not come out for a while and sometimes not eat. Sooner or later he'll start to eat. Next time you buy a fish ask the person at the lfs to feed him first. Ask what do they feed him and how many times a day. Also ask the water salinity, it may differ from yours. I ask a million and one questions when I'm at the store if I'm buying or not. They hate to see me comming. I spend a lot of money there so who cares.
