So I'm thinking about adding my last fish in my 55 gallon reef set-up. I'm thinking about a six-line wrasse and I'm wondering how it will be with my cleaner shrimp and emerald crab?
should not be a problem, I have a six line with a cleaner and fire shrimp, and crabs snails etc in my reef. I have had the six line for a year, and he is aggressive toward new fish, nothing serious though. Very cool fish.
As we speak I am getting ready to go to my lfs to borrow their fish trap to get my beloved six line out he is tormenting my new addition clown to death and im afraid he will do the same to any other fish I put in so he must go for the good of the order my LFS will take him for a store credit
I finally got rid of my sixline when I got a bigger tank as he killed a small royal gramma and a flasher wrasse when I tried to add them. Once you put them in your tank you will never be able to catch them if you want to remove them. They are great with larger fish no problem. Mine did not bother the clowns. Lesley
I've had two sixlines, both in a 55g with emeralds, a strawberry crab, a fire shrimp, hermits & snails... The first, who I thought had street smarts, was found crispy fried on the floor beside my tank after being absent from his usual bristleworm hunting. The second, who I got for trading one of my BTA splits, is less than an inch and runs from everything including his shadow; I can't wait from him to grow up. Needless to say they've never bothered anyone (inverts, other fish, new additions..) tho neither was any bigger an two inches.
Mine has been a model citizen with my cleaner shrimp and all my fish but for some reason hates my 2 peppermint shrimp. If they come out to eat he attacks them so they stay away during feeding time.
Don’t mean to hijack Oneradteks thread but it seems sixlines elicit a lot of controversy my Jekyll and Hyde fish seems to have gotten lucky the governor called and mine is getting a 24 hr stay of evection seems to have quieted down a lot toward my clown I have a black comb tooth blenny in QT now so in four weeks when I introduce him into DT and if the sixline goes wild again out he will go for sure
I have not seen any aggression from my sixline. They are just a very active and curious fish. Mine is all over the tank, and loves to dart in/out of caves and corals.

Still looking, thanks for checking. I looked at several brands, but now I'm on this mission of finding one used. I see so many of them out there where folks are getting rid of the entire setup, so I'm waiting on the right deal.
