I was just wondering in reality how many of you have a sixline wrasse in your reef tank and have not had any problems with it.

Had mine for over three months now, and never had a problem. Also great for taking care of a flatworm problem if you ever have them.

I've had mine for about a month too. Very cool fish for the reef, weaves in and out of rockwork, gets along with tank mates and picks at rocks.I've never heard of them not being a reef safe fish. It's my favorite! :D

I love my 6-line, I've got a green star polyp coral and it never bothers it. Also I've seen mine acting as a cleaner fish, picking of Ich from my Flame Angel when I first introduced it. It's a great little fish, one of my favourites. Also worked great cycling my new tank.
I'm getting another one Tuesday for my other tank!

sixline wrasses are great for the reef. they don't seem to bother any corals and they clean the mantel of your clam.

I have a six-line wrasse in my 16 gallon. What a great little fish he is, very frisky! He is in no way predetory and loves to pick up little pods off the rocks and acrylic.

They are a great addition...I kept one in my fish only system and all reports I've seen indicate they are absolutely reef safe! Take care though they are jumpers so a tight cover/canopy is a must....mine went carpet surfing one too many times! <img src="graemlins//angel.gif" border="0" alt="[angel]" />

NM reef,
Just had the same thing happen to mine. Was fine for over a year then just jumped out. I have thought about putting egg-crate over the top of the tank, and am regretting it now.
It was my favorite fish. I found it very beneficial as far as keeping the rock clean. It was neat to watch him weave in and out. They are very active and social; very hardy too. In a couple weeks I will replace it, havent decided with what yet.
