Skilltter Fillter

I have a skilltter 400 on a 30 gallon tank i want to know if it will be good enuff for a 55 gallon tank?

Altho not a fan of the 400 model it is rated for up to a 125 per the Mfg specs. Actually both the 250 and 400 are rated the same as far as the skimmer but I have found the 250 will skim the 400's I have had would not. The 250 is rated 250gph and the 400 at 400gph.

I agree,the 400 skimmer is usless.But it one hell of a mechanical filter...I had one and gave it away.

Had one for a night and returned it the next morning! Boy are they loud!

there loud at the beging but if you take the tube out from the thing inside, or put the tube under water there quite,mr saltys sooo right, the skimmer is well i wont go there lol, but anyways its a good mechanical filter and i like the fact that theres 2 cartrages so if you want to change one to keep up the biological filteration(if none is in the rest of the tank) you still have in the other cartrage
