I have a Skilter 400 on my aggressive tank. Before you tell me how much it sucks, I agree. Came with the system <img src="graemlins//bah.gif" border="0" alt="[bah]" />
I've been running just the filter aspect as "that" part does a pretty desent job.
But, I'm seeing some bad algea growth and it's probably due to too many nutrients. I've tried to run the skimmer part of the skilter but the bubbles (and noise) we're just too much!
I didn't get an owner's manual with the skimmer.
Could some share thier technique for efficient Skilter skimmer operation without the excessive noise or bubbles?
Or is it even possible?
