Both are low end protein skimmers.
My experience with the Skilters have not been very good. The 400 doesn't skim worth a hoot, and the 250 did marginally, but was still pretty lame. Both are so loud that you must go to great lengths to quiet them down. Thumbs down on the Skilters.
The Lees skimmers - although I have never used one - would not seem like a good choice for your 55 tank ( I assume this is for a 55 ). Thumbs down on the Lee's as well.
Many have reported good results with the Prizm skimmers - economical and efficient. Personally I also like the CPR product - Bak-Pak's are pretty nice - and their insump units do a decent job as well.
Guess it depends how deep your pockets are - how much you wanna spend.

The prizm is a great skimmer. I personally use the sealife systems. Either one of these is good.
Thats not really a bad price for that skimmer. If I was you I would get it. Much cheaper than you would get at a LFS. ;)

I've got a Lee's skimmer because that was all I could afford at the time. Mine seems to work well. It sticks to the inside of the tank by suction cups. The only down side is that it gets algae on the inside, which is a pain to clean. Got mine for $30, and probably would get it again even if I had more money to spend. I only have a 29 gal.

Go with the prizim. I have it for my 55 and it works great. When you get it it does take time to break in so you must be patient with it.

Ive got a skilter 250 and 400. My LFS suggested I get the 250. It seems to skim good but it releases a lot tiny air bubbles into the tank, and its kinda loud. The 400 the skimmer part is exactly the same, but its got an extra compartment added for carbon filtration. I had a time trying to get the 400 to skim at first. You have to open it just about all the way up. If your going for cheap thats then I would go with the 250 it skims better. I cut the skimmer part off at times if im in the room. You can get a Seaclone skimmer for 70 I hear there pretty good and it will set on the outside of the tank.
