Do I need to run the protein skimmer part of the SKILTER 24/7? The air process makes a lot of noise. The manual says that the air can be turned off the PS at night without disrupting the process. What do you all think? Also, it emit's a lot of tiny air bubbles in the tank - is this good, bad, doesn't matter, etc.

How long has your tank been up and running? How long have you had the skimmer? A skimmer works best after it's been running for a while.
The little bubbles should not be going back into the tank - but it happens to me all the time. Check to see if your skimmer is level, check the level of water the skimmer return is connected.
