When I add all the suplament to my tank (ph buffer,culciom....) suold I shut my skimmer off?

Some folks recommend that the skimmer can be turned off during this time. I however agree with the previous post. Don't. My skimmer doesn't have a great impact on the concerns that you have. At least as far as my tests on the water parameters are showing.

I do not turn my skimmer off but if you feel you must and agree with the above post this would be a good time to clean the skimmer and leave off till ready to restart. This way none of the old trash will get back into the water.
