Skimmer: Aqua Medic

i purchased an Aqua Medic Turboflotor multi SL skimmer with a Ocean Runner PH 2500 pump about two weeks ago and to begin with it worked better than i hoped, took out about 3 full cups of crap in a week.
my problem now is after water changes my skimmer only pump up WET FOAM, and does this for about 2 days before anythin normal happens again. the water that collects isn't even dirty.
has anyone used this brand before and knows any little ideas that could improve its performance.
i paid $A550 for it, i wanted an Aqua C Remora but i just could find it here in Australia so i got this one. they use it on all their tanks at the LFS and they are good.(the lsf and their tanks.)
all i have at the moment is 85 pounds of LR in my 70 gallon with a few coral that came with it, (mushrooms, and zoos) a couple of Mantis shrimp......
and a sand shifting hermit crab.
i know that there realy isnt much live stock in there to produce a large amount of protein for the skimmer to collect but then it shouldn't collect much at all should it.
ohh well i dont know, any help would be appreciated guy, cheers. :)

Down wash out the riser tube when you empty it just dump the junk out and put it back in place. Because it seems like it always takes my skimmer a few days to produce any gunk because they have to rebuild the slime in the riser tube.

Yeah it seems like once it builds up that slime it starts makng the dry foam so I don't wash the collection cup I just dump it out. I'm thinking about getting the turbo floater multi for my 46g. bow to replace the cpr bak pak. Either that or a remora pro.
Glad I could help,
Rhett
