Skimmer cleaning

I have had my skimmer for some time now and its in need of a good cleaning. What is the best way to clean the skimmer inside and out ?

Can one of the mods please move this to new hobby section or reef.

Soak it in water vinegar solution especially if you have coraline buildup inside the skimmer. After cleaning the skimmer will have to go through the break-in process again but shouldn't take as long as the first time did.

I'm thinking of getting one of those fuzzy pipe cleaner brushes to help get inside the collection cup.
