skimmer for a 20 long

i cant decide what skimmer i want for my 20long, i really want a remora, but it has a min. tank hight for 12.75" and the tank is only 12.5". any other suggestions? i was also thinking of a cpr2r but i am not to sure if that is too tall. the tank is sitting on a dresser in the middle so the skimmer cant be longer then the tank.

That's a good question. I'm gonna be starting up a 20L with sump soon, and was wondering the same thing. I was thinking of a prizm or seaclone...maybe bigger.

either one of those skimmers will work just fine . . . I use a bak pak 2R on my 22 and its great . . .

how many inches does the cpr hang from the tank? my problem is i cant have a skimmer that is more than 12.5" long from the top of the tank

Why not? A quarter inch isnt going to make that big of a difference at all . . . . just because its called a "hang on" doesnt mean that it actually has to hang . . . and if you use a stand than its going to hang either way.

How tall is your 29? The 2R fits on my 22 tall with a good 5 inches of clearance below the table its on. If you put it onto a stand, than it wouldnt matter if it hung below the bottom of the tank.
One thing to remember is that the input and output tubes of the skimmer are what it actually rests on when hanging and those are 5 inches from the top of the skimmer. The actual portion that hangs below the top lip of the tank is only 12 inches.
