Skimmer help.... what am I looking for?

I just purchased a Red Sea Prism (100 gal size) for my 29 gal tank. I hadn't been able to get my Nitrates below 20 and thought this would help. After setting it up I don't know how to adjust it properly. Should the bubbles just break the surface of the tube or should they be lower? If I adjust it too high it fills the cup very quickly.
Thanks Guys

You have to find that happy medium, the bubbles should just be breaking the surface without pouring out, the dryer the bubbles (less water with them after breaking the surface is better) for more gunk takeout, but if you adjust it where its more water you can wet skim and that should help alittle as well for nitrates bc its like doing a water change, by taking out the collection cup when it fills and disgarding it

I just figured out my Excalibur skimmer has a Optimum water level line. I adjusted my air down until the water in the centerfuge was at that level. It seems to me pumping a whole lot faster now.
