skimmer in eclipse?

i have an eclipse 3 hood. i dont know what kinda skimmer i can get though. i dont have a sump. i have heard good things about the prizm. will it fit? anybody have an eclipse 3 with a skimmer?

it will fit but your gonna have to hack some of the back off... i know that the filter unit looks like it will be in the way but it won't you can rig it.... if not your going to have to get a sump hehe .....

I have a seaclone skimmer with the eclipse hood. Like the post before mentioned I had to cut a little of the hood to make it fit.
I have also added 2 more lights to mine giving me a total of four bulds.
It's a good hood after a few modifications.

I heard many bad things about the seaclone also but thought I would try it anyway. I think it all depends on what model you get. The older ones had many problems with the design. The newer ones have modifications to help the performance. I have one of the newest models and the collection cup fills about 1/4 full in a week and then I clean it out. Very happy with it.
