Skimmer Needed?

I have a 20T and it has been up for a month and a half. So far it has been okay without a skimmer. Should I spend my money on an Aqua C Remora skimmer? Or can I go without a skimmer?

IMO, a skimmer is an essential peice of equipment that is KEY to a great looking tank. Get the skimmer and you will not regret doing so!!! The AquaC is a GREAT skimmer and will do you well (get the maxi-jet pump...not the Rio).

would the maxi-jet 1200 be to much for my tank? because I found a great deal on a used one that has a maxi-jet 1200.

The maxi jet will be just fine with that size of tank it is only running the skimmer and the water flow back to the tank is fairly gentle.

the 1200 might be too powerful for your tank. I recogmend the 900. there is a such thing as too much water flow. and i have the aqua c remora and love it. HIGHLY recomend it. i have tried others in the past but non compare to the remora. hope it helped
