Skimmer not working;help

I ordered an Octopus nw110 and got an Octopus int-ps-120 (says new 2008 model) and it did not come with any instruction. It's been running for 7 days in sump and has not made any waste. Its making small bubbles in the big chamber but not that many at the water line ( which is in the middle of the top cup. It needs more bubbles so it can spill over. What adj needs to be done for this??????

Not sure about your model of skimmer, but mine has a small hose attached to the input of the pump. At the end of this small hose, is a plastic valve that has a thumb

on it. If I open the thumb

, more air goes in the small tube, causing more bubbles in my skimmer. I ran my skimmer for a couple of weeks before I realized I needed to open the valve. I didn't have any bubbles at all.

I moved the water output tube up 2in and its skimmin now. From Marine Madness on the _bay. The tube was down all the way to start with! thanks
