Skimmer only skims after feeding

My tank has been set up for about 2 months, the skimmer is a euroreef g4, it is in a 240 gallon tank. The only time I ever see foam is for about an hour after feeding, I think this is normal, just checking. Thanks, Justin

I think your tank is still young for skimmer yet.
What fishes do you have in the tank?
how long have the tank been cycle?

I agree that the tank just doesn't have anythingto skim yet.....You can shut it off for now,and turn it back on in a month to see what happens.Or just leave it running toadd air to the water...Unless you are still in the cycle(any nitrites at all??)then byall means SHUT IT OFF!!!!
