Skimmer or not

Im running a drilled 75 gal tank down to a wet/dry right now. Switching over to an old 55gal that i converted into a sump/refugium. My tank is a hybrid I guess (FOWLER with just a few mushrooms growing here and there). I currently have a Corallife skimmer hob that works great. My question is this-when i switch to the 55 sump/fuge do I relly need the skimmer? My water quality has never been an issue. Like I stated before-just a few mushrooms here and there and the only other coral Id even consider would be growing some GSP on my overflow.

If you are happy with the one you have, hang it on the new sump fuge and continue to use it. Cannot harm and will only help IMO.

It can also sit in the sump too. Im just wondering if I really need the room for it or if I could rmove the baffles and enlarge my 'fuge

You don't need a skimmer. I bought one ran it a while then took it off. I haven't run one since. It is a matter of how you choose to run your system. Just be ready to do any water changes if needed and make sure you have a way of exporting nutrients. It doesn't sound like you have any problems now.
My 29 is skimmerless.
My 20L project is going to be skimmerless. (Running real soon, I hope)
My 75 in wall build is going to be skimmerless.

DT will be dumping into a media sock, over LR frags and finally flow through my 'fuge (roughtly 30 gal) before hitting return pump. Does that sound like good enough plan?
