Skimmer & Power heads for 55 gal

Hello All,
I am setting up my 55 gal saltwater tank again. It's been a few years since I had it set up. I currently have a tank with some crushed coral, live sand, filter & heater. I am not rushing to build this tank, want to do it right. I plan on ordering some live rock, power head, and skimmer in the next day or so. I am also a little unfamiliar on how critical sumps are and how well they work.
So my questions are:
What are some good recommendations for power heads and a skimmer for a 55 gallon tank?
Should I get a sump?
Is there anything else I'm missing?

(1) Red Sea Berlin Air 60 Skimmer - In Tank
That's what I ordered, along with 50 lbs of Fiji live rock. We'll see if it works well!

PH's will give plenty of flow if placed well
not familiar with that skimmer
as far as a sump.... it is recommended but you can use a canister if you keep up on cleaning it
