skimmer problems, bubbles in tank.

I just recently purchased a CPR bakpakIIR(reef ready) skimmer. It seems that no matter what I do it puts a ton of microbubbles in the tank, they are coming through the skimmer outlet no the powerhead. I tried adding the supplied sponge to the outlet, but that dosent seem to help. There arent any instruction showing a way to adjust the powerhead to make less bubbles, and I even tried putting on an adjustable muffler(guess thats what its called) that I had laying around. My salinity is perfect, as are other levels. Any ideas? Should I just give up and order their bubble trap?

I have one and boy is it great. It took it almost a week and there is like know bubbles know. But I upgraded to a bubble trap and preskimmer and it helps out alot. But without the bubble trap after a week I didn't even notice any bubbles, less bubbles then a hangon back filter when it dumps into the water.

Cool, I will just give it some more time then get the bubble trap if its not where I want it to be.
