Skimmer question on VENTURI 24"

I was looking at my skimmer tonight and noticed that it wasn't creating enough bubble turbilance at the bottom of my skimmer. The pump is fairly new and more than enough to push water through it. My question is that it is pretty dity and I keep the top 2 sections clean, but do I also need to clean the bottom up to? Maybe it is clogging up the bottom section? Do I need to replace the air tube that goes to the bottom of the skimmer? Any advise would be great thanks guys/gals. Rick

Perhaps the tube is clogged and you are not getting enough air to the pump?? I'd check that first, usually is the culprit if you are not getting any bubbles IMO.
