Skimmer Question/Thought

OK, the berlin upgrade thread got me to wondering something. I will be retiring from the Air Force soon (well within a year or so) and want to have a house built that would include a built into the wall 200 gal or larger. My question is would it be better to have two seperate skimmers place inside the sump or try to get one very large one. We all know that they over estimate the size limitations. I was thinking about using my original Berlin and also adding one of the Euro-Reef skimmers into whatever I incorporate. Thinking about using my existing 75 Gal as the sump once this is done.
Like I said just thinking of and planning out future ventures.

A general thoguht of mine is to have additional back-up if time/space/expenses allow. currently my two nano's run without a skimmer - but with as large a tank as you are building I would think that if you use two large skimmers and spread them apart so they pull from different areas of the water column - then why not. So if you use a 75 Gallon then don't put them so the intakes are right next to each other ....

It would work either way. However you will use more power and create more heat running 2 pumps on 2 skimmers. Just something to think about.
