skimmer question

i just buy this skimmer but i do not how is the set up. please help:help: i just wanne know where it go the water in and out?

I have that skimmer and to be honest.... IT SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!
REPLY ABOUT IN AND OUT ARE CORRECT.
THE PROBLEMS I HAVE INCLUDE:
1. VENTURI AIR INTAKE CONTINUES TO GET CLOGGED AND REQUIRES CONTINUOS "UNCLOGGING"
2. THE SKIMMER WILL EITHER OVER SKIM (I.E. TO MUCH BUBBLES/FOAM), OR NOT ENOUGH
I HOPE YOU HAVE BETTER LUCK THEN ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!

but i just have one pump my question is,if i got the pump in numer 1 the number 2 need other pump or it going came out whit out other pump?

well i tink this one it will work beter from the sea clone 100

granted the sea clone is a PIECE. it seemed to be much more consistent then this skimmer though.
the pump goes into the bottom intake. the pump should sit snug between the bottom(black) plate and into the tube. be very carful though. I will get the pump that I was using for you manana. I recomend again being very careful when you move you pump off and on for cleaning. I totally broke mine when I was removing it and wasted $200plus.

well this is a aqua clear whit a mag 9.5 and i pay 100 buck's i see it work it work fine to the other guy:happy:

Yeah its worth atry for a 100$. ---- the mag 9.5 is like 80$ online and over 100$ at most lfs. So if the skimmer doesn't work just keep the pump for some other use.

Modifying skimmers is fun specially if you got all kinds of pumps and junk to use. I say modifiy.

The first mod i'd try not a very big mod but anyways is put a gate valve on the output of the skimmer.

bro's i modified the carp outta mine and i ain't talkin about fish. i have the 2" main chamber version and chopped it off at the bottom and extended it a foot and a half for more dwell time. I am using a rio with the built in rejuvenation venturi that works ok. I put a screw on bottom for easy cleaning. I hate how it always needs adjusting to keep the water level right, makes me love self leveling models like my berlin XL. Next mod is the beer can holder on the main chamber to hold while I maintain stuff.

I'll have to look into the beer can mod on the neck of the skimmer, I don't know if thats gonna fly with my parents:thinking: .
