skimmer question

my HOB is not pulling anything out and no matter where i set the valve its not making a cyclone in the chamber. is it broke? there is only a tiny bit of turning inside the skimmer

I don't know what skimmer this is, but it sounds to me like the air intake is stopped up somehow.
Take the pump apart and clean everything, and make sure everything related to the airline is free of obstruction.

I was having this problem and just could not figure it out. finally took it in to have it checked out and the store gave me a larger air hose. now it produces just not enough, but something is better than nothing until I can get a new one.
