I have been on ---- looking for a protien skimmer. HELP!
I have a 40G. Are hang on's ok? I really do not want to put anything in the tank. I have one of those Skilter filter/skimmer things but I dont see that thick frothy stuff you guys talk about.
I have about the same size tank with a Remora hang-on skimmer (with maxi-jet and pre-filter upgrades), works great.
Hang-on's can be really good. Although personal opinion is, if you can, always go with a sump model.
