aight, i have a 29G tall tank, with about 25lb of live rock, tanks been set up for around 5 months now, i have a false percula clown, 2 pj cardinals and a rusty angel, plus a bunch of inverts and a BTA and a feather duster.
anyways, I tend to have alot of green hair alge, i cant seem to get rid of, i think it may be due to the waste and such, so im interested in getting a skimmer. i was looking at seaclone.. but then i check the product review and here.. whew.. thank god i didnt get it, lol!! with that... what do u recommend i need for my little tank.. i cant believe how expensive these things are!! i wanna a HOB type and i have no room in my tank. and i dont have a sump or fuge, so i wanna try n keep it simple.
thanks!!

i have a aqua c remora in my 29, and it works great, never have any problems with the bad algae. kenya trees, various leathers, zoo's doing great with it. I think the aqua c urchin would also work well

Well it sounds like you are on the right track.
I'd say the AquaC is the best HOB out there. Make price your second priority. I promise you that you get exactly what you pay for. I made the mistake of purchasing cheap skimmers in the beginning, now I'm paying for it with having to replace all of my skimmers with better ones.

Coralife super skimmer does a fantastic job and its well under a hundred bucks. Usually around 75 bucks will get you a jam up needle wheel skimmer that skims.

thanks for the replies guys, im leaning towards the corallife 65. would that be an ok choice considering the size of my tank?

I have a corelife 65 skimmer and its a monster. I have a 20 gal and I am getting a AquaC nano, rated for up to 25 gal. If you have no room, dont do it.
The coralife works great, but the pump is huge and you have to put a return box on to that, that goes in your tank too!
Just my opinion

There is nothing wrong with a seaclown skimmer. But perhaps the best thing one can do if yu have a seaclown is to add an automatic top off system. Keeping a constant water level with that skimmer makes all the difference inthe world in having to fiddle with it or not having to fiddle with it to keep it working. They work and when they work they do a good job, but for what they sell for there is just too little of money difference between them and a Coralife skimmer. The coral life super skimmer can be fine tuned to work without that diffuser box but the pump is still fairly large but its certainly not that large that makes it undoable. I run them in a 16 gal BF tank and have my LR built up so that it covers up the pump so its not really even noticed.

I vote for AquaC Remora! I have one on my 24 gal and I love it! It pulls so much junk from the tank! Well worth the money. I just ordered a Remora Pro for my 105 gal I am setting up. I am hooked on these skimmers, they are great!

AquaC Remora! I have one. It started on a 55 and is now on my 75. I would do a great job on your 29 and it doesnt take up too much space either in or behind your tank.

i'm using Prizm at this moment and i am not happy with it at all. It's been running on my 20L for a year it flooded my floor 6-8 times. I unplugged it a month ago and have been doing 10-15% every week. I 'm thinking about getting coralife super skimmer, romera, or something else. any suggestions? Flood proof skimmer?
