All the forementioned skimmers are very good. I would like to add that the AquaC series is exceptional as well as on the lower price end of the high performing skimmers.
I've heard nothing but good things of the Deltec and H S but the price. Some say it's hard to get a hold of H S... Everyone is impressed with the Euro's but I don't think they are demanding of the price tag.... They don't look well built in my opinion!!!!!! I'm favoring the MRC beckett line
Call me old school, but I still like Berlins.
Heck if you drive to Baltimore I'll give you a Berlin XL.
PS- I was raised in Harrisburg and learned saltwater from the old Scott's Tru Reef, Next to The G-man in Wormleysburg.
Cool fishnerd... Yeah old Scotts Tru Reef was flooded out a couple years ago and he sold out to a friend of mine.... I use to run a Berlin. As long as you don't follow their instructions as far as pump recommendations your fine!!!!!
Barrs' skimmers look pretty good haven't heard to much about them though!!!!
Hey you know Jim??? I heard Mark was a rep haven't seen him in about 3 years. It's a small world.... No Jim went out of business about 2 years ago.......
Well not actually in Harrisburg per say.... You have The Salt Box in Mechanicsburg and Barry is pretty good and then there was a place in Danville called Salt Box and Judys'' stuff was incredible, but she closed shop as well.... other than that you go to Lancaster..... It sucked when you lived here and it still does today for the hobby!!!!1
Danville is a haul. Come to Baltimore, there are 3 GOOD shops.
It takes 1:10 on I83
I don't work at a Baltimore LFS, I'm just impressed. Lancaster is great for dry goods, but I know how they got the name "That Ick Place"
I'm going to have to get with you and get some names and address and check these places out... It's really dead in this area......Did you ever go into Jim's store?
