Skimmer sludge

I am currently Vodka dosing and EVERYTHING is working and growning.
However, My skimmer is not producing the black gunk, instead I'm getting this dark green jelly like stuff. I am running it the way it is supposed to run.
I am unable to get a pic but it looks as if someone with a cold blew their nose in my skimmer (gross)
any ideas?

I have been vodka dosing for almost two years now. The skimmate i collect can be anywhere from dark gree to brown to black. It has worked well for me. I would not be worried about the color.

if its jelly-like thats the bacteria you're pulling out. you can readjust to skim dryer if you want it darker.

thank you dor replying. Last night I took out the collection cup and cleaned it out and lowered it a tad. We'll see what that does. Maaaan that stuff stinks! Lol..
