Skimmer?whats the best?

I have a XL Berlin and I broke it while screwing in the pipes.I used silicone to stop it from leaking but I think it is time to get a new one.I dont want to hang one off the tank.I rather an external one that sits next to the sump..Any suggestions?

Debateable area.....What size system? Do you want something plug and play?

210 gallon mostly fish.I have around 300lbs of live rock.lots of inverts.. no room in my sump.I need a free standing one.I fixed my skimmer somewhat.I used alot of silicone to fix the crack,That is just a temp fix.It is working but not like it use to.So I want to start shopping around.Thanks

I would suggest looking at either a needlewheel or beckett style skimmer.....Some needlewheel skimmers can be run externally....ie EuroReef, Barrs, MRC.....personally I'm a beckett fan, they skim aggressively and process larger amounts of water more quickly.....
