I have a prism skimmer on my 29 gallon and i took out the prism to clean it and i was too lazy to put it back right away and i started to add supplements so would it cause my skimmer to make micro bubbles, so should i leave it on so that it can make its "slime"?

It is best to turn the skimmer off for a few hours when adding suppliments. They can remove them as fast as you put them in...

What kind of suppliments are you adding....some trace suppliments can make the skimmer go crazy for a while...and a skimmer can remove some trace suppliments. When I was running a skimmer on my reef all I added was suppliments for calcium/alkalinity/kalkwasser....and I never turned the skimmer off. Levels were stable and the suppliments never seemed to effect the skimmer. When I fed the system with DT's phyto plankton then I'd turn the skimmer off for an hour or so.....just to give the phytoplankton time to circulate through the system and allow time for some of the critters to filter feed fresh stuff...plus the DT's did seem to get skimmed out quickly.
