Can someone please give me some info on skimmers? I don't have enough room for a hang on type, and don't really understand all that goes into having an under the stand type.

A basic set up for an under tank set-up would be to install an overflow that would drain down to a sump that would then house the skimmer. Next you would need a return pump to get the water back to the tank. This also gives your tank increased water flow. There is more you can do but this is a bare bones suggestion.
