Skimmers

I need a new skimmer. What is a good brand? I was thinking about a berlin but what which one. I have a 46 gallon tank that has 27lbs of lr and 20lbs of ls. I plan to do the Berlin method after I get more lr and ls.

I recommend using counter-current air lift skimmers for small reef tanks. They are inexpensive and effecient.

I like big skimming. its easier rids nutrients which are easy to put in with feedingd. You have a sump and whats your buget? berlin may work but i find alot of ppl don't like them or some have a hard time getting them to work. Turboflotar or aquac ppl seem to like and I've seen most skimmers they are fair.

I now agree with Iron Reef,"Bigger is better".I like the CPR(creative plastic research) line of skimmers.I just added a CPR SR9 to my 130 setup and love it.The berlins,and the turbo are also nice though...

I like my Berlin but there are some other good skimmers out there.

I had a Berlin Turbo and hated it. I worked ok sometimes and not so ok other times.
