skimmers

I`m getting all different reviews on skimmers some say some are good then they`ll say there not... what makes the bad or good?whats the final outcome supposed to be? 55fowlr/sand bed <img src="graemlins//confused.gif" border="0" alt="[confused]" />

i have a 75 gallon fowlr w/o a sump what skimmer would be good for me

would a bak pak be ok what would be my other options

get 2 bakpacs, and put one on either end of the tank--yes one is not enough for that size. I have run my 100g with two (amongst other things)although now I lost one (after 3years) and will consider either a new one or a separate skimmer altogether--don't know yet--I'll have to go check my post on skimmer ratings.

berlin turbo's are very good. I have one on my 150 gallon reef does a good job. 179.00 to 225.00 range and they have hang on or sump.

Richie which one do you have the hang on or sump??? i'd like to know more about them as that is what i'm leaning towards as my new purchase.
