Do you guys leave your skimmers on 24:7? I just got a seaclone 100 from sandman, (I love the trading and classified section). I have a 75gal with fish and coral and 100lbs of LR.

24/7 - you should look into another skimmer though - I have used a seaClown and they don't skim - just make lots of bubbles in the tank, and require lots of fiddling.

If the berlin turbo overflows, where does the stuff go?
I have a Prizm and if not adjusted PERFECTLY it either wont skim or over flows with mostly sea water onto the floor.
I am looking for a better skimmer but I want to avoid one with similar problems.

I have had no problems with my Seaclone what so ever since I got it. It doesn't skim as much as the high end skimmers but it is not $200.00 bucks either. Mine produces no bubbles in the tank and pulls out really dark skimmate.
So my point is that different folks have different results from everything in this hobby.

The overflow on the skimmer just goes back into the sump.

Ah, so what is good for the goose is not always good for the gander :D

Honestly, I agree. The same product can vary in quality when produced. Also the way the product was handled can vary the quality of how that product preforms. That includes from the moment it leave where it was produce to the point it is used in our tanks.

I cam home today and there was about a half inch of brown nasty water in the cup and it puts no bubbles in the tank, so i consider that working good. Also you have to consider what I replaced (skilter 250) worked well but loud and lots of bubbles.

I'm glad to hear that. The ONLY thing I use a skilter on(given to me) is to mix a 5 gal bucket of water, and sometimes I have my doubts about it doing a good job for that.
