Is it possiable to OVERskimm your tank??
I am buying a skimmer for my 55 gallon and was wondering which of these I should buy.
Terminator skimmer.
Berlin X-Large Protein Skimmer
Turboflotor 1000
Prizm Deluxe Skimmer
Which out of theses four skimmers would you recommend me buy.
I have never had a skimmer before so I don't know how to tune the skimmer in either. If you have had experiance with those skimmers let me know how to work and maintane/setup the skimmer plz.
Vince.

I believe it's possible to overskim a tank, but you won't have to worry about doing so with any of those skimmers on a 55g. Out of the list you provided, the Turboflotor 1000 is the one I'd go with.

A $25,000 148" tall RK2 skimmer on a 55g would definately constitute overskimming (what I was alluding to in my previous post), but I don't even think skimmers rated for 2,000-3,000 gallons would be able to overskim a 55g.

I would stay away from the Prizm Skimmer, I recommend the AquaC Remora if your looking for a Hang on the back skimmer. I'm not familier with the others you have listed, but know the AquaC Remora is one of the best you can get.
I agree, I don't think you an over skim.
