Alrighty I have a question if ya'll don't mind helping me out...
For the newer 75g, I bought a metal stand for it only because I didn't have an extra 300 bucks for a wood one. My sump sits on the bottom rack of it, and it is all open... since I keep my fuge light on 24/7, it lights up my room at night and it is a PITA to get some sleep. would there be a way to skin the front of the metal stand so it isn't so bright? and maybe to give it some extra support...

you can buy it at joann fabrics. I bought some to cover my ro unit to keep the algea out. its white. just use stick on velcro and cover the front and sides.

If you decide to skin it in wood do not put any fasteners into the metal as it will comprimise the integrity of the stand. Build a frame inside of the metal and attach the skin to that.
