After cycling my tank and trading in my damsels i added one of these as my first fish. I think he is absolutely gorgous and loves his new home (30 gal FOWLER). I was wondering how difficult they are to care for, and which other species that live well with them,, and how large they get. thanks.

Pseudochromis or dottybacks are usually agressive fish especially in a small tank. They do not get very big and have no special requirements. However, now you are going to have trouble adding more fish.
In a small tank the dotty will most likely not tolorate new comers. If you want more fish then you will need to pick fish that are not shy. Also, you will most likely need to put the dotty in a "time out" box while the new fish adjusts to its new home. I used a breeder net with a piece of PVC pipe in it for a "time out" box.

i LOVE pseudochromis, but they are MEAN. I had a sunrise, which is blue with a yellow skunk streak. is yours the yellow one with the pink stripe?
ditto on only putting mean fish in with it, or at least ones that can hold their own!
