I've had three gobies jump out of my tanks. Only one of the jumpers survived.
You wouldn't think they were much of a jumping species, would you? Guess you can't judge 'em by their looks.

I came home one day and found both my sleeper goby and green bird wrasse on the floor. The way i figure the bird chased the sleeper right outta the tank. So ya it does happen. LOL

Ya, I had a Flounder on the floor, last week. I never thought he would do that. He seemed lazy, and would sleep all the time. I guess he just got bored, and screwed up. Big Time.

Hey,
I was at an lfs and they had two diamond gobbies in an open lagoon type tank. I was watching the tank for a few minutes when they suddenly started chasing each other all over the tank. Looked like little white blurs flying around. All of a sudden one of them shoots out of the tank and hits the tile floor with a splat. Since I was the only one in the swf area I scooped it up and dropped it back in the tank. Poor little guy scooted under some lr but looked okay.
Just thought I'd share that story....

Diamond Goby popped out of mine. I lost him for about two weeks. I looked and looked, thought maybe the clean-up crew cleaned up. Later I was behind my sump re-running wires and what do I find? Crispy. He would have been cool to keep if he hadn't rolled up in everything foul behind the tank. On a side note, I was watching the tank under red a few nights ago and my new sleeper is quite active at night. Top to bottom and back again. I wonder if maybe the Diamond jumped out at night.
