sleeper gold head goby will not come out

I just put a sleeper goby in my tank about 3 days ago---he will not out from behind the rocks. I know they are supposed to eat often and they graze on the sand---but i have not seen him do any of this. i have gone so far as to putting food in a turkey baster and getting it close to him but nothing.
How long should it take him to acclimate to his new home--I have a 90 gallon w/ 90 pds LR and the only fish is a bi-color blenny (which by the way is starting to look like jaba the hut b/c of the extra food) and a lemon peel angel. Any suggestions?
thanks, :needhelp:

i have the same fish and he rarely ever comes out..they are very shy fish. For a while i thought maybe he was dead...so i moved some of my rock and there he was..You might see him every here or there. Give him about a week or so..you might see him more often but other than that dont except to see him that much

That stinks---b/c he has such a pretty face w/ the electric blue stripes. I just want to make sure he is eating---I have yet to see him eat a thing---I have found all his hiding places--i am just scared he's going to go MIA then DIE. Was yours eating that you saw?

when you used the turkey baster did you actually put it into where he is hiding or just near him?

Well---he didn't make it
The hermits had him out this AM chowing down
Not sure what happened--did all I could I think. Maybe I'll have better luck next time---but I will get a more social goby next.

I just got one of them too. he's out all the time. A little skitish if thier is fast movement in front of the tank he will hide. But in a few seconds he's right back out... Mine has a bad attitude twords some of my other fish. And he's real agressive towards my tomato clown..

mine has just started coming out after about 2 weeks but he does eat the sand. Cant seem to get him to eat anything from me. I noticed that his belly is a little sunken in...not ghastly but it does not look right....Do any of your gobies have this?
