I just bought a golden sleeper and he is sifting my sand like none other. But its getting all over my rocks and glass. I know this can affect corals to a certain extent. What should i do if anything?
Tip your corals so the sand will fall out. This is one of the problems with sleeper gobies. They take the sand and travel. The sand could choke up the coral so they need to be able to have the sand fall of them.
UGH! I hated my golden head sleepers. I honestly was not that upset when they jumped. The diamonds are by far the best sifters, the keep the sand clean and don't travel with it to create a snow storm in the tank.
I agree with Flower, tilt your corals. If your fish are as bad as mine were, tilting will only lessen the damage, but not save them forever.
