Small aggressive tank possible??

Im wondering if I decided to stock my 20H tank with an agressive fish or two, what they could be?
Are there any agressive fish that stay reasonably small and could live in a 20 gallon High tank for a couple years?
Thanks,

I've been toying with doing a dwarf lion, and my local store has an angler instock too. But the mantis, well those just give me the EB' GB's, just like the eels do.
I was at a fish store the other day and didnt expect it, and looked down and there was an eel swimming around the tank near my feet. I think Im lucky I didnt knock down one of their display tanks the way I jumped back.
I had a lion fish in my 55 FOWLR about 13 years ago, that was cool to look at.
I suppose though that having a dwarf will mean having no cleanup crews in the tank, or wont they eat snails, and a green serpent star fish?

something that small is going to have to be damsals are you looking for something that is going to eat stuff in front of you cause nothing really aggressive is small and stays small at least

Well, I went to the LFS and really didnt like the angler, to me I couldnt tell if it was alive or dead, it just sat there propped up on it's fins looking straight ahead.
But they did have a nice looking dwarf lion for $14.99 so I picked him up with the condition (that they stipulated) that if he doesnt eat in 4 days bring him back, and if he does eat but dies within 10 days, bring him back frozen (with a water sample) for a refund.
In any event the reason why they stipulated that is because they just got him in on Tuesday and hes not eaten yet.
So far hes just hiding out in a cave and letting the green serpent star run its arms all over his face. I think the serpent star is going to lose an arm perhaps.
To me fish are not "pets" in the conventional sence of dogs and cats, they are living beings so I want to care for them the best I can, but I've never gotten attached to any of the fish I had in my old tanks, when they got too large, they were sold back to the fish store and another smaller fish was aquired to fit my tank so Im not too worried about it. I just dont want to have to go trading in a fish every month or two, that would just become a pain in the patooty. The LFS said he could live in my tank for probalby a good year or two, (maybe more) depending on if I overfeed it or not. He said to feed it just once every 3 to 4 days and that would be enough for it so thats what Im going to do.
In about 3 days from now I'll go get a feeder goldfish, and feed it that, then try some krill or other raw shrimp to try to wean it onto "dead" food and see where it goes.
I hope it will be alright.

Well i got a 20 high that im seeing what works in it... right now there is a baby huma huma (maybe it will stunt his growth, if not, my friend will get him for his tank... i got a compressed toby puffer (in time out for killing my valentini puffer this morning
) and i got a male blue damsel which might come out to go live with the female i would love to get a dwarf lion, but doubt it would go good with the puffer and trigger

20g sounds too small for a dwarf lion, every source I've seen lists the tank size minimum of 30g for the dwarf.
Exactly what kind of dwarf lion is it?

Well, with all the pics that I've seen on the net, the closest it resembles is the dwarf zebra lion fish.
At the LFS they just write down, Dwarf Lion , or for the other lion, Volitan lion.
Right now he's pretty small, and he will be the only inhabitant in the tank, so I think he'll probably be okay for now, and if in a years time he's just too large to keep good water quality and allow proper movement of himself, then I'll trade him in for something else.
I also saw info on the web that said 30 - 50 gallon for the dwarf, but I also saw info saying 15 to 30 is good for the dwarf.
So since I had both suggestions for tank size, I asked my LFS guy and he said the lion would be fine for a year or more before I'd need to move it to a larger tank or trade it in depending on how much I feed it. He suggested feeding every 3 or 4 days only and that would allow it to stay in my tank longer without harming the fish.
