small brain coral

Hi, I have a small open brain coral (I believe that is the proper name), among other things in my 29 biocube, and upon close inspection last night, I noticed that there are tiny parts of the skeleton starting to poke through the main body of it. It is not bad, but I am definitely concerned. Does anyone have any ideas of what could be wrong? Everything else in my tank seems to be thriving. I thought maybe it was to close to the light (a little over half way up), so I moved it towards the bottom of the tank. Any ideas?
My parameters:
Ammonia 0ppmm
Nitrite ppm
Nitrate less than ppm
PH 8.2-8.3
PHs-tad above ppm
KH-10
Calcium 400ppm
Salinity 1.025 on the refractometer
temps 75-77

First of all a picture would help greatly.
Did you move it recently? (before you noticed the damage?)
If it's the species im thinking of, these corals have extremely sharp skeletons, and any abbraision could cause the skeleton to damage the tissue.

Thanks for the reply. Ill get a pic up tonight. I moved if from a different tank a few weeks ago. That may have been it, now that I think ago. The skeleton does appear to be quite pointy, as the points are what I can see poking through.
